What is your favorite season? Mine is fall! Unfortunately, it means that summer has come to an end but on the bright side, look at the changes happening all around us! The colors of fall are beautiful, the air is crisp and the sun is shining. The light is warm and the change in mother nature creates a different feeling all around us. There couldn't be a better time of year to go out and play in the light and soak up the fall air.
Fall signifies change. Change in season, change in color, and of course the end of fire season is near. My significant other, John, is a wild land fire fighter on the Entiat Hotshots. Since May, he has fought fire in seven different states and accumulated 1100 plus hours of overtime. I have seen him in person, roughly fourteen days, over the span of six months. Many ask how I do it, how we do it. All I can say is when you have a love like ours, how could we not?
We finally got some time together to enjoy the simple things, which are the most important to us. We spent a morning drinking coffee and then headed out to Echo Valley, where I take the pups hiking during the summer. The colors of fall were bold and beautiful, and the change of season was in the air. The wind was chilly but the sun was shining, and our little family enjoyed some much appreciated time together.
The first dusting of snow in the mountains!
My handsome man!
I am excited to be outside and enjoy this fall weather, I hope you are too :)
xoxo
